Phil Cornwell was born on 5 October 1957 in Southend, Essex, England, UK. He is an actor and writer, known for Stella Street (2004), Scoop (2006) and Churchill: The Hollywood Years (2004).- Music Department

Phil Cornwell is a British musician, composer and arranger based in London.
He has worked extensively in UK theatre, including as Musical Director for the West End shows In The Heights (winner of Olivier Award for Outstanding Musical Achievement), Heathers The Musical and The Scottsboro Boys. In film he was MD for the Netflix musical Been So Long (2018) and the pro-shoot of Heathers The Musical (2022). He teaches piano for film and TV actors, including for Bridgerton (2020) and Tolkein (2019).
Cornwell studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and then at Trinity Laban, where he won the Postgraduate Accompanist Award. He is the bass player with UK contemporary folk band Apple Of My Eye.
